Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy Launches in November

You didn’t think Nintendo would leave Pikmin 4 hanging after the wonderful job it did porting Pikmin 3 to Switch 2, did you? Revealed today during the Nintendo Direct broadcast, it was revealed that Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy is coming to the hybrid console on November 12, 2026. Here’s a look at the game in motion:

So, what sets apart Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy from the previous version of the game? Well, one big thing is in the title: Dandori Academy is an all-new mode for players to explore. In Dandori Academy, it’s a test of skill as players are given weekly challenges to collect as much treasure as possible. However, the challenges (dubbed exams) are only available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; what’s more, you only get one shot at them. Nintendo will be releasing 72 different challenges as time goes by once the game launches.

This Switch 2 version also allows players to use the microphone to direct Oatchi via verbal commands. Tell Oatchi what to do and watch him follow your instructions on-screen!
