Should you pick Helion or Lunara as your Guardian in Aniimo?

Very early in your playthrough of Aniimo, you will need to pick between two cute critters to act as your Guardian. Helion and Lunara act as starter Aniimo, and both have different abilities and stats.

Should you pick Helion or Lunara as your Guardian in Aniimo?

As their themes suggest, Helion is a little more fiery, while Lunara is a little calmer, and their skills and abilities reflect that. You should pick Helion if you want to stack good DPS early, and he is a tough customer in combat. His overall damage output can be very high, making the early game a breeze.

Lunara has the edge in ranged combat, however, and also has good sustain, making her great in awkward fights. She also compensates for lower overall damage by debuffing enemies by reducing their Light resistance. She excels in groups with other Light Aniimo.

They share many stats, including the same type and role, but Helion is better at melee DPS and Lunara is better at ranged DPS. So, if you prefer one fighting style over the other, pick accordingly. The biggest consideration is that, as far as we know, there's currently no way to get the other, but it seems likely this could change at some point. 

For now, operate as if this is your only chance to get one, and pick your favorite design.
